Title: Developing Ethical and Effective Interventions in Inclusion Settings

In this presentation we will discuss common ethical dilemmas that arise specific to inclusion settings and we will refer to the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code to identify potential solutions. In addition, current research on effective interventions that can be used in the inclusion setting will be reviewed.

Presenter Bio and Disclosure Statement
Aubrey Byrne is a Clinical Supervisor at the Alpine Learning Group where she oversees home programs and inclusion based instruction for learners ages 18 months to 6 years. Aubrey is a Clinical Supervisor at the Alpine Learning Group where she oversees home programs and inclusion based instruction for learners ages 18 months to 6 years.
Aubrey's area of interest has always been in finding ways to make children with ASD more successful in inclusion settings. She has focused her career on identifying effective teaching strategies for the learners she supports but also on ways to make educators more prepared and open to having inclusion in their classrooms. Aubrey has conducted research on the use of picture prompts to increase learner initiations within a social skills group and presented a poster at ABAI on her findings.
Aubrey is grateful for the opportunity to share the knowledge she has accumulated with a larger audience and hopes to empower participants so that they can confidently take on the challenges that inclusion presents in an ethical and effective way.
